高活性かつ高安定性を有するアシンメトリー金属クラスター触媒の創成

研究内容

微細な金属コアをもつチオラート保護金クラスター(Aun(SR)m; 図)は,バルク金では見られないサイズ特異的な構造・物性・機能を示すことから,機能性集積型錯体として高いポテンシャルを有しているそうしたAun(SR)mクラスターにおいて,一部のクラスターにはいくつかの要因により光学異性体が存在する。Aun(SR)mクラスターは,多くの酸化・還元反応に対して高い触媒活性を示すため,それらアシンメトリーAun(SR)mクラスターは,キラル触媒として高い可能性を秘めている。本研究では,申請者らの高速液体クロマトグラフィーに基づく分離技術を精鋭化することで,アシンメトリーAun(SR)mクラスターを高分解能で単離するとともに,それらのキラル触媒としての可能性及び構造物性相関を明らかにする。これら二つを実現することで,本領域の目指す,「集積型錯体における構造の非対称性の制御」および「物性・機能に異方性・指向性を有する新機能分子・材料の創製」に貢献する。
