Abstract

In this project, fundamental methodologies to achieve asymmetric self-organization of metal complexes and coordination polymers in solution or at interfaces will be investigated. More specifically, the following topics will be studied. (1) Self-assembly of chiral coordination polymers and metal nanoparticles. (2) Development of multi-scale molecular assembly techniques for coordination polymers. (3) Development of supramolecular ferroelectrics by taking advantage of feasible rotation of coordination bonds. (4) Controlled deposition of coordination polymers (networks) at interfaces.
