Revealing relationships between gas adsorption and electrostatic potential of different dimensional pore in porous coordination polymer

Abstract

Porous coordination polymers have been developed rapidly as functional polymers of metal complexes for adsorption, separation, and catalyst, because of their structural diversity of structures and functions. We know the importance of interactions between captured guest molecules and pore space to develop the functions and control them. We, however, have not understood overall intrinsic nature of the pore space yet. The target in this project is electrostatic potential of frameworks which possess not only three dimensional pore but anisotropic two and one dimensional pores to understand the relationships between intrinsic nature of pores and functions.
